Any help with this engine issue??

Hey guys, im running a 05 A/T 8, with 36000 miles on it. Im coming off a replaced engine a few weeks ago, and now im dealing with an issue I cant figure out, and I dont have time this week to get to the dealer. Never thought id have a f$#@in car with 36000 miles, a replaced engine already, and engine headaches like crazy..

-Around 1000- 2500 rpms the engine jerks and the car seems to buck a little no matter what speed or gear im in.

-When I come to a stop, the rpms are dropping back and forth, below 1000, not enough to stall but close. The volts are also dropping on my gauge. I cant figure it out, does it sound like coils? maybe a compression issue on the new engine? any advice before i find some time to get to the dealer would be great. Thanks guys

sounds like possibly coils or battery? My idle has always fluctuated in my MT since the day I bought it so Im kinda used to that. IDK AT's too well....

The MAF (mass air flow sensor) could be the issue, but unless you get a new one it would be hard to troubleshoot. You have a aftermarket intake, did the dealership put it back on right? Did the MAF get dirty while your engine was out?

maybe the alternator/battery coils give us some history of maintenance etc
