just wondering, I always thought the sports package was kinda stupid, as it adds no sports to the mix, really you get HID's and DSC. Has Mazda ever done this before? How about the Miata? DSC to me seems like it should be standard, as its kinda a safety feature.

I kinda like it as an option. I really dont want it anyway, just one more thing for my absent mind to forget to turn off at the autox track or race track. I had planned to get the sports package, with the dsc, but now that I have thought about, I dont think I will. Every car I have owned till now has had no real form of TC (lsd excluded) and I have survived. So I might as well save some money on the car, and get the base. Besides the best form of traction control for all of us is a well trained right foot. But dont get me wrong, I am not knocking dsc by any means. I think it serves a great purpose and will save some butts.
