I'm only about 100 miles into the ownership experience and my RX-8 has not flooded and I haven't had to buy any gas but those aren't what I'm talking about and this is what I am:

No f'in' throttle hang!

It's one of those things that I didn't notice during the test drive but which just makes the car feel "right". My last two cars (not counting my Miata) suffered from throttle hang. Push the clutch in and the RPM stayed constant for at least a second. It drove me bonkers but I has assumed that it was an emissions thing that was now universal. I am happy to find that I was mistaken.

Yeah, glad to get rid of the Mazda 6. Even though I loved the car, it lowered the driving fun considerably.

Funny, now that the prices of Rx8's have come down, it seems we have a lot of Focus and RSX owners trading in lately. I think you both have made an excellent choice...now go enjoy your toy... :D
