Hey guys, heres my question of the day. As you all know, the american rx-8's renesis rotary engine had to have some quick tinkering around with to meet america's strict smog regulations. Because of this, the rotary engine suffered from many problems, such as flooding? I read the flooding part somewhere and wasn't too sure about it. Anyways, i would like to know, if anyone knows, the different specs of and american rx-8 and japanese one. What are the difference, lost in torque, hp, durability, engine longitivity (not a word lol)? Anyone know anything have some links? Thanks

My GS is USDM but not sold in US. JDM is sooooooo kuuuuuuuuuuul!

 

Jdm have 100 hp more and 50 torque less...

 

And the rotors spin the other way

 

The curb weight + passenger is 100lbs lighter for the JDM model.
