18x10 w/high offset can provide more rubber to the road and just look better IMO. You could always slap 265 or 275's on an 18x8 wheel but yeah....not exactly the most practical thing or best looking. This is all assuming that you're not going for autox anyways.

i wouldnt put a 275 on a 8 inch wheel just throwin that out there... +1 for 18x10's though... however im happy with my 18x9 in the real, i have a 265 on it and it's pretty flush with the rim

19x9.5 or go home!

In my opinion, rx-8's look better with more spokes.

Stick with the 18x8

Tires are cheaper and you won't have alignment problems.

If you go larger the car will stop slower and go slwer as you do not have the power for a bigger wheel

Unless you plan on spending 10 grand on a turbo or go racing you don't need the larger wheels.

^ that does not make sense. My 19" wheels with 255/35 does not give me alignment issues. Each wheel/tire combo is 4lbs less per so no performance drop. Tires are definitely cheaper though if you stay with 225/45/18. But saying you need to go FI to take advantage of larger and better tires is silly.

If you dont care about performance, just DD.
18x8.5 with 255 Rubber all around

Wheel and Tire are up to you and your weather.

we dont have the horsepower to warrant anything past a 245 tire.

What's best for Daily Driving, and what will look the best, are two completely different things...You need to decide what you want out of a wheel, before you start asking us what you want.
