Almost ready for RX-8

Almost ready for RX-8
Ok, I just put my 02 Mustang GT for sale, I have been thinking about getting a new car and after several weeks of research my final list is G35, 350Z, RX-8 and 05 Mustang GT, I even consider some used cars like a BMW 330Ci or Mercedes CLK 430 about 4 years old. After many weeks of thinking and looking at feedback in forums and going back and forth between specs, I finally narrow it down to the RX-8, is the one that fits pretty much everything I want right now, I know its cons (mpg, low torque) but I don't care, I just fell in love with it, I just can't stop thinking about it, I know it won't be the fastest, but at least for me is going to be the best one.
So, it will just be few more weeks, I can't hardly wait.
And to all of you RX-8 owners, congrats for having such a nice car :D

You’re welcome and keep us posted on your search, I hope the best!
Hey...and don't listen to some "so-called" car guys out there, there is NO NEED to justify or excuse the RX8...it's a HECK OF A SPORTS CAR!
You will see with ownership...the RX8 is the king of "THE FUN FACTOR" :D

you're making a good choice, and as long as you know about the quirks of the 8, then there is nothing to be surprised about.
just remember to check the oil regularly (i check at every other fillup), try not to shut it down cold, and keep it under 3k until up to temperature (good advice for any car).
its a blast to drive, and it is one of the best looking cars on the market, let alone for the price.
so, what color are you looking at? i recommend black :D sure, its a bit more effort to keep clean, but when it is, oh is it every gorgeous.

Good luck with the purchase I'm sure you'll enjoy. You'd be surpised at how well blue looks, even when dirty. I think it's the best color for the car, but I'm somewhat biased.

If you want a color that is both bright and stays clean, winning blue does an amazing job. Its what I have and am still in love with after a year and a half.
Congrats on your choice no matter what color you get.

I started out really wanting the Black, but I think I'm gonna go for the Winning Blue now. I've always wanted a car that color, and the metallic paint is really spectacular.

I don't think the color as much as the shape of the 8 is the alluring factor. I originally thought a Black/Black-Chaparral interior would be the ultimate and that was what I was looking for. Since I couldn't find one, I "settled" on a V Red/black-red, GT. Now that I have had it for 2 months, I can't imagine a better combination ( Red was my favorite color as a kid - I don't know why I didn't remember that- especially since my wife says I must be reliving my childhood again!)
In my opinion, if you find an 8 with all of the options you want and at a good price, get it regardless of color combination (unless it is a color that for some reason you just can't stand) . You will love it!
