All Series IIs!
Post how many miles you have already, and how long you've had your series II....
I've had mine about 4 1/2 months and have a bout 4800 miles.

Bought in July 09, 15000km on it now, runs like a charm, seems to burn ALOT less oil than my last serie 1, added about 3-4 liters between oil changes since day one

I just noticed my S2 seems burning less oil during the summer than during the winter. in colder weather its usually half a quart every 600 miles. now im almost hitting 800 miles before putting oil in.

10 months, 3600 miles, 700mL per 1000 miles, solid 16mpg around town, 25 mpg on the highway.
Considering a tire rotation and trip before I put it away for the winter. Only issue noted is that the tranny is a bit crunchy when cold.

- My regular round trip commute is usually 10 miles city and 46 miles freeway. Whereas I usually drive around 75-80 mph on the freeway, I'm not agressive in city driving ( normal acceleration, pace traffic lights, etc.). I do make it a point to "redline" the car at least once per tank, which I consider regular maintenance.
- I use premium fuel, which will optimize ignition timing & performance
- I keep the tires over-inflated, at about 40 psi
- It's an automatic. When cruising in 5th or 6th the engine is turning much slower than the manual transmissions. For example, at 60 mph the automatic is turning about 2000 rpm, and the manual would be turning about 3000 rpm, so this has an obvious effect during highway driving. I would imagine the automatic should get somewhat worse mileage in city driving, as the torque converter lock does not engage in gears 1-4, but with my driving style I doubt there is much difference.
- I use the manual mode / paddle shifters to keep the engine speed at the most optimum levels for the driving conditions. The automatic programming has it shifting a bit early for my tastes.

So, I'm a liar? What would I gain by it?
Most tank averages have been a very predictable 23-24 mpg for over 15,000 miles. Lowest tank was 22 mpg, highest was 25 mpg. I would love to see what it would do if I kept it down to 65 on the freeway, but I just can't do it.
What would you have me do, post photos of the gas pump & odometer readouts for the next 6 months? Oh, but then I could PhotoShop it, so that probably wouldn't convince you either....
Well, if you're ever in the LA area, we'll go on a long drive.

just hit 10,000 miles on my '10.
switched back to 5W20. much better.
still 19 mpg
creaks and rattles from dash
racoon @ 50mph took out my shroud, etc under passenger side oil cooler. 250 bucks. oil cooler unscathed.
shifting seems less notchy as the miles pile on. Will change out trans and diff at 20K prolly
Pirelli 210 winter tires handle beautifully! Steering feels better with them.
no sign of rodents underhood yet..

Fuel Economy..
Look if you are Owning or Driving ANY Rotary to get Economy or High MPG from it then you own the wrong car, driving an RX-8 for economy will KILL IT.
Yes, even I can get 25 MPG if I feather the Gas Pedal, change gear at 3-4000 RPM or less.
About 20 MPG or less is an average for me, and that is hard treatment and a bit of soft (RPM wise).
But yeah, SO much depends on how Heavy your Right Foot is..

Yeah I'm not complaining...I'm still getting better mpg's than what I was in my truck. I shift at 4-5k in every gear and redline it at least twice a day...I usually open it up every chance I get.
