After some thought..

I admit freely that Mazda made a huge messup. Their admittance of it early on however, shows that with the low amount of cars sold in the US, that they aren't going to lose a helluva lot of money to these rebates and specials extended to us.

We took a chance on a first time car, I believe Mazda should also repay us for taking that chance in a more appropriate fashion. That said.. I don't want to see a debit card for Mazda-only goods. I will scream bloody murder, because it's just wrong.

Because Mazda makes good cars doesn't give them the right to get away with false advertisement.

Anyhoo... this is just a warning early on to the Mazda Corporate people who are thinking about sending me a debit card. I'll send you a letter right back, and it will be notarized.

Love the car, company has lofty goals and good intentions, but everything else needs a lot of work. I think I can freely admit Skyline is right about Mazda's reputation as a company; but I can see they are taking time to improve it and hopefully will not wrong us in this situation.

P.S - I'm still an elitist snob.

I agree about the Mazda-only debit card. If that is the case, I will be disappointed. I would also like to see the warranty extended to 75,000 miles.

If Mazda gives us $500 to do with as we please (which includes making payments on the car) AND extends the warranty plus the free maintenance, that would be fair.

Isn't FORD their parent company? Aren't they the guys who sold a car with tires that pretty much fell apart and caused deaths which they knew could have been prevented then denied prior knowledge?

Still keeping mine...

My dealer seemed to think the $500 card could be used for anything, anywhere so not Mazda specific. This needs to be confirmed asap - I don't know if there is $500 worth on stuff I would want from a Mazda dealership (maybe Mazdaspeed parts).

You guys crack me up. You are already re-negging (sp) on the fact that the 500 whatever bucks and free service will suffice. Now you want Cash, 75,000 mile warranties etc.
All this after ridiculing me and others for "thinking" about opting for the buy-back.

After some thought...
do you think that maybe the dealers will kick in something extra to keep your business? To keep them from having to expend the time and energy to process the refund and then have to deal with the negative publicity and a brand new used car sitting on the lot? Maybe an extra 500 Mazda bucks, a Lojack or some window tint and a set of tires.
Got you thinking huh?

I see it as an oppertunity actually. I love this car but i can also look for a very good condition used NSX for much cheaper.....I dunno i love this car so much tho hehe. Ill prolly keep mine because it fits my needs so nicely. However class action lawsuit might be in order here.

We will just have to see what direction this leads next. Honestly doesnt look good for the new 7 tho! Acutally i think you can pretty much forgedaboutit.

What do you all think about the NSX reliability at 50 thousand miles ?

I'd get an FD before I got a Supra.

Bah im talking crazy talk im still gonna keep this car but just really disapointed really. Not at the Hp at all tho i really dont mind that as much as i do mazdas methods. Instead of offering an explanation of what really happend lets give em a bribe and let them deal with it is what pisses me off.

All I want to know is what happened and what is causing the lack in power. If it is fixable like a ecu or if it is something more. But i guess we are not worth the breath huh....

We all know that this is the same engine that was in the concept model and we know what kind of power was in that thing...... and i think that that is pretty close to what ours is capable of at least.
