Exclamation adjustable suspension?

well i was wondering, if i were to lower the rx8 to an extent where i have to go over speed bumps at an angle or a dip what would happen if it still "touched" the car? is there some kind of suspension for the rx8 that could be adjustable, like changing the ride height, like for example hydraulics? but without sacrificing control and performance of the rx8?

such as hydraulics, but i heard that its not such a good idea because it will result in poor handling and performance. but like those exotic cars such as lambos they have sensors that will automatically adjust the ride height. i just want the one like that except only with buttons or switches, not sensors, because they will turn out to be expensive nor do i want to get under my car and adjust them every time.

Tanabe Sustec Pro SEVEN Coilovers Mazda RX-8 Free Shipping!!!

Sustec Pro SEVEN is an all new adjustable coilover suspension that features a wide array of all new circuit developed technology that has not been available until now.

SEVEN advances the technologies and greatest strengths of previous high performance Tanabe suspensions like the RR & DD even further. While similar in appearance, the SEVEN is completely different from any suspension currently available. The difference lies within the suspension itself and its highly unique internal construction and slide valve technology.

The new slide valve technology allows a great range of adjustability and function from both sides of the performance spectrum. (comfort to pure competitive motorsports use)

When used with the new TEAS electronic active suspension controller, the wide range of dampening force is accessible through the touch of a button, and is fully programmable to automatically adjust dampening rates according to the speed you drive.

In addition to TEAS, SEVEN is also available as a special "Hard Driving" version, for strictly motorsports use. (see below)

TEAS stands for "Tanabe Electric Active Suspension" and is the counterpart of the new Sustec Pro SEVEN suspension. This compact unit is the 'brain' behind the highly sophisticated new Tanabe suspensions. TEAS is a fully programmable dampener controller that allows for dampening force to be automatically adjusted while driving. TEAS accomplishes this by connecting and using the signal from the vehicle's Speed Sensor.

Remote dampening control from within the vehicle is not a new concept by any means. In fact, many Japanese vehicles from the 1980's including the FC3S RX-7 and MA70 Supra had buttons to change dampening from "Normal" to "Sport." Unlike other controllers that are simply an update of this older 'analog' technology, TEAS is a much larger step towards highly digital advanced suspension control and tuning through it's speed sensing "Active Mode"

TEAS active dampening control is uniquely possible due to the use of the specialized valving of the SEVEN, in conjunction with TEAS' slim, high speed actuators. These actuators change dampener settings in 1/100ths of a second, which is necessary as TEAS can continuously change settings at different speeds.

only damper settings are electronically adjustable, ride height is done manually, but it is a very simple process. just look it up.

Owning several cars with hydraulics(59 and 63 Impala) and airbags (64 Impala SS vert, fleetwood lac), I can say you dont want it on the rx8. I am running 155/70/13 tires on all of em, and even with that huge sidewall its not an ideal ride. It can be done, but its a ton of work...my 59 rides better than stock, but it wasnt cheap. When you alter anything on the suspension, it will change it drastically. Go around the bumps....trust me.

Im not sure about your area but Im going to re-adjust it back to stock height. Why ? Cuz NYC roads are "fuxking garbage".

Im just like what maybe 0.25" lower than stock, it has been like this for a while. yesterday, I ran over a bump, my front bumper touched the floor and side marker area snap off. I put it back the way it was with some glue but still ...
