This is EASILY the worst forum I've belonged to as far as bashing and overall sarcasm, and guess what...I LOVE IT! It's also riddled with knowledgable owners and information.

You have to give respect to get it. That's the general idea of this community. This guy starts a bitch war and doesn't hang around to see where it goes or what justifications there are. He's truly a coward.

 

The difference is, if you actually owned an RX-8 we'd be laughing with you...

 

I think most of you have covered everything that needs to be covered. But I can say that I have had some run ins with people that I am now friends with. You just have roll with the punches. I have learned a ton here, there is no better resource.

I can also say that I have helped tremendously and that I have helped people a ton as well.

Exactly. The **** that happens here isn't "e-thuggery". It's reasonable, mostly light hearted flaming. It's not like we're a bunch of people who are acting tough and trying to start a fight that we would be scared to try in real life, we're just pointing out that you screwed up and advising you don't let it happen again. As long as people are reasonable and take it all with a grain of salt, they end up being pretty happy members of the board. It can be harsh at times, but this definitely is one of the more fun forums and it's just something you get used to and shouldn't really take to seriously. It's the internet. People need to learn to relax a little.

 

This was an interesting thread. I don't see anything wrong with bashing/flaming ignorant tools though.

Theres's lots of help here if you just search. Like all car threads, most items have been covered to death in previous posts. Unlike most car threads, Rx8 owners do seem be really down on their own cars.

we are not necessarily intolerant or rude or short with newbies. we were, afterall, ALL newbies here at one point or another...

BUT, some of us were actually NOT LAZY and actually used the button called SEARCH first before posting or starting new threads of the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over and over again...

in some ways, one could argue that the newbies are actually being disrespectful and rude to the rest of us, by wasting everyone's time and forum space by posting inconsiderately when there are plenty of threads, stickies, and new-comer threads that are readily available...

I'm a newbie, and didn't get flammed... yet. But when I had a question, I first search for the answer, that was quite easy to find (MIAC). And thanks to all of you haters, my problem is fixed (under warranty noless). KEEP ON HATING, I guess...
