Everyone on this forum can beg to differ.....

The 8 has outsold the G35 all around the world, so all the buyers of the 8 obviously can see that it's a better car.

Yeah. The G35 is actually a very good comparison to the RX8. A buddy and I went out to California Speedway here in so cali and we were a match all day long. Unfortunately at the time I was using the Nology wires and was down on power in the high rev range, where the car flurishes..

I was still able to post a time of 2:18 to his 2:15 while being down on power. The RX8 makes up everying under braking and in the corners. If I had the power that I do now, his car wouldnt be a match anymore.

We are going out again on December 17 to CA Speedway so we'll see what happens then...

All in all though.. very good match..

i have to admit, I post on a lot of different sites for many different topics, and this is the ONLY one that I go to that has the most common answer to a post is SEARCH. I find it to be unfortunate because I really like this site, but most times I wont post a topic because I am sure it has been posted before and i will get hit with the SEARCH response (Even when i search and cant find what I am looking for)
For this i would like to suggest, if you arent going to answer with something other than search, maybe it would be nicer if you didnt respond at all

OK, I will take my flaming now

notice tho that they also included the results from their own searches. so they helped him out by showing previous discussions and other members thoughts/points that may never be posted in this thread.

Simple.

The G35 sucks.

The RX-8 rocks.

Any questions?

This discussion (especially b/c G35=luxury Z) has to be one of THE most common threads on this forum, along with the low hp, pictures of my new 8, and when-is-the-turbo-coming-out topics. If it hadn't been discussed in a year or even a few months, then I would have been a bit more understanding. But since others, like rx8wannahave, started the exact same thread even just last week, there's no excuse for not doing a Search. Aside from replacing out-dated threads, redundancy is not a good thing on this forum. Like now, people don't know where to look for information, earlier threads get overlooked even though they might have more valuable information, newer threads lack depth because people don't want to re-read a subject they've already discussed, etc. But what do I know...

What's so tough about using the search button? Do you use Google? or do you expect other people to point you to your info. Posting a new thread everytime a newbie has the same question about the M Flash (example) would just bog things down.........If using the search button is too hard on ya...too bad!

I have to agree with you on this one... I know that it's nice for members to post the search results and all, I appreciate it. But I too am afraid to post anything much, as I fear the dreaded "SEARCH" response.
I do use many different forums, but this one has it for "search" as a reply. Low HP, RX8 vs ???, FI & MPG are popular questions, but no where near as popular as as the "Campagnolo vs Shimano" or "which bike should I buy" questions over in the roadbikereview.com forum. But members over there rarely post "search" as a response.

Having said all that, I still love lurking these boards..

just my 2 cents.

It is just as simple as the following: People who own RX-8 say their 8 is better than the G. People who own G35 say their G beats the 8. Which one is really better? Nobody knows.

I dont say that.

I have race track experience.. They are very equal cars..... If Infinit had a G35 in the Grand Cup Series with Mazda they would be near the top.

Imo, the G35 is a boring but nice looking new car while the RX8 is um well the best damn car out there. It looked so good to me I bought one.

I agree that occasionally people are too quick to give the "use the search" response, but (1) many people went ahead and did the search for you and posted the results for you, and (2) the RX-8 vs. G35 topic is one of the most frequently posted topics on this site, and nearly everyone is sick to death of beating this horse!
