i just got a 2004 rx8 and my 6 disc changer wont work or my cigerette light wont work either does any one know what it could be the guy said they 6 disc work be4 could it be a fuse and he he didnt give me the owners manual so i dont know what fues it would be.

go to www.mazdausa.com and register as an owner. (I think you need your VIN) You can download the owners manual directly from their site once you register. I'm sure someone here could email it to you but mazda's site is easy to get on.

How many miles on the '04? Does the light near the cigarette ligher come on when you open the small hatch? (headlights need to be on) Just wondering if there's any power going in there at all
What exactly doesn't work with the 6 disc changer?
Are you pressing the "load" button when trying to insert discs in there? Are you SURE it's actually equipped with a 6 disc changer? I know that sounds stupid but not all 04's came with it. (they look pretty much the same from the outside)

Beneath the slot to enter the CD, there is a small face plate: does it say 6 disc changer? (I think it's to the left)

How many miles on the car? Possibly covered under warranty...

Just going to say the same thing ... not to many 04s had six-disc changers. Mine doesn't.

my 04 came with the 6 disc.

What is your problem exactly? Does the entire radio not come on, or you cant load more then 1 disc? I dont get it.

it wont load everything works beside my 6 disc and my cigerette lighter and i dont know what fuse it could be becuz the ***** never gave me a owners manual
