Can you adjust DSC sensativity?
Title says it all, can this be adjusted in anyway. My brothers S2K traction control steps in almost instantaneously and the 8 seems to let the back swing out a foot or so before it very abruptly catches it and brings it back in line. If i have the DSC i dont want the back to come out much, if i want i to i will turn it off. So can this be adjusted, and a preemptive go **** yourself to the first person that tells me to search or consult the manual.

search...........jk. No it cant be adjusted, it was designed to let your back end slide jsut a little and allows you to make "minor mistakes" but will correct the "major mistakes" thats that abrupt "catch" you feel as your sliding. Just turn it off when you want to screw around but be careful

yeah, i notice the car is bit more tail happy now that it is getting cold and i have summer tires still on the car. But i live in TN and it does not get that cold or snow for that matter so i dont want to invest in some all seasons for the winter. Too bad i cant adjust it. Oh well, i think it is just funny how the back end can step out and i can catch it before the DSC turns on.

Screw just turning off. If you want to have fun turn off the engine and hold the DSC button down for a couple seconds and fire it up. Just make sure you try it in a parking lot first. The car comes alive.

Yes while DSC is on it lets you make minor mistakes but will correct long before the car is out of control.... I like this better as you're more able to feel the threshold of your car.
Pressing the DSC button to get "DSC OFF" is only half the step to disabling it. (As its a 2 stage system)
Press and hold the DSC button for 7-9 seconds and you'll see the little fish tailing rx8 on your dash light up... now the system is disabled and you can do whatever crazy stuff you want.
Turn the car off then back on again in order to reset the system to on.
And yea, the ABS is always on, but the DSC/TCS is what turns off.
