What exactly was "bad" about the idle?

Do they want more clues?

Where do you get that 200 number from Zoom? Seems awfully low since Canzoomer estimated over 60 being replaced just a couple months after the car was released. I bet we could also find 200 people that have had their engines replaced on these forums which is probably a pretty small sample of total RX-8 owners.

nah, its ok. I'm just going through the 80-some pages of the two major engine failure threads. I'll find something about the idle in either of them.

your ac sucks.... a lower control arm could fail. your rotors are rusted.... the center console will break... as will the sun visors... you will get 4 mpg... you have to put oil in the car... i had to put in 6 qts. last week... the gas tank could blow at any second.

the tires suck... the elec steering will fail... did i miss anything you do not have in you first week of ownership???

your so got a pass and pissed it away...

Damn 4 pages since i woke up. I'll check back today and see what the word is. For you cincy people, Jake Sweeny Mazda is the dealership with the cars. I knew this heat was evil. So far two days in a row I've gone out to my car and had the temp read 100 or more. I've been letting it warm up a little more b4 driving it (which also helps cool down the car's temp) and cecking fluids more often. Is there anything else I should be doing Zoom44 to try and prevent this or should I just wait for the new engine flash?

Hopefully I'll be back with more info after work today.
