Thumbs up From a 350 to an RX-8... A new begining

Let me first say this I my first post and hopefully not my last. You have a great community here. So i went from a 300z to a 350z and now I'm in a Rx-8 and i don't think I'm ever going back. The 350z is a great car, but with the 8 you just feel like its apart of you while your driving it. I wouldn't even be able to describe it to someone. I bought a used 05 RX-8 GT and I don't regret it one bit. I just wanted to say hello to the community, love the boards here. Good luck and have fun all.

Welcome to the club.
Apart from the typical ignorance inherent to all boards of this type, I like to think that overall we have a decent bunch of people here.
Enjoy the car. It likes being enjoyed.

Nice upgrade. Welcome. However be aware that this board do not have one of those RX-8 vs. World section that the Z club seems to love.

Welcome aboard. I know exactly what you mean about "feeling like a part of you" that's the intrinsic value that sold me on the 8.

did we mention this car is like rum? you start out being happy with it, but in time, it will start to slowly eat away at a gigantic portion of your adult life

this will be your future line:

gf/wife: "honey, sometimes I think you love your car more than me!"
you: *cough cough* obcourse not honey
you: *goes into garage* I do love you more!

its gonna happen.......

Hey welcome to the club and the new ride!

Maybe this will help to put to rest some of the 350Z vs. RX-8 threads.

Good choice in the RX-8 and yes, it does tend to make to feel apart of the road/machine.

No plans to upgrade the car till the warranty is over. I don't know much about rotary engines and I don't need to go messing it up. This also allows me some time to research the parts I want to add. Its only a year or so till it's up. If anyone knows and wants to drop a line on a decent after market site let me know. If not Ill find it as a peruse the boards. Thanks again for all the warm welcome.

I'm pretty sure you're safe with any vendors on the site. Also check the stickies at the top of aftermarket section... has nice lists of all your options pretty much, great place to start gathering info on stuff. welcome to the club!

Ah, my friend. Good choice. If you want to wait for the warranty to get over, fine. If not, you wont regret it. Exhaust, intake, and lowering springs do the same on all cars. Its when F/I gets into the equation...
