Injector Ground Location

Looking for info on the injector ground location on an 04 with a 6spd trans. The injectors are not spraying any fuel what to ever. Went to get the car out of storage and it will not start. Verified I have spark, fuel to the rail, fuses all tested good on both sides, and compression is fine. Pulled the plugs after cranking and they are bone dry. Next step is to check the injector grounds for rodent damage as rodents were in the engine bay while the car was in storage. No other damage that I can see, but if a ground wire got chewed, I would lie to repair it.

Likely under the UIM where the sheetmetal cradle for the wiring harness bolts down on top of the engine. Kind of doubting that’s the issue unless the entire engine is isolated from ground.

the injectors could be gummed or even rusted shut, only the two (red) primary injectors fire for startup.

.

The car only sat for the winter from December until may. I store it the same way every year and I have never had an issue until now when I see evidence of rodents.

Rodents can cause all kinds of issues. You will have to follow all of the harnesses and look for damage. Hopefully it is easy to see.... and easy to fix

Well if you believe that then checking for continuity would be the place to start imo. Otherwise the grounds and wiring are literally all in the same harness rats nest so to speak.

Indeed. I think its time to remove the upper intake manifold set and get to work!

The red injectors only for start up. I'm just wondering are they used after that at all. Like for idle or come on past a certain rpm or do they go inactive after start up.
