2007 rear plastic bumper change?

Sorry for the bad title guys but i have a question. I have a 2007 RX8 and i bought a full after market body kit. Everything seems to fit okay except one HUGE problem with the lower plastic rear bumper. I notice in earlier models you can remove the full plastic piece but in my model the center piece isn't removable. The plastics that hold the mufflers come off but the rest of it is an extra layer of the car. Any suggestions or info you guys can give me?

Its one whole piece...it can't be removed without cutting it off. The exhaust shrouds are the only part of the rear bumper that can be removed.

Sell the rear skirt or return the kit and look for another option.

Personally, I stay away from replica body kits (like the one you bought), but for the rear add on to fit, the rear plastic needs to be modified, not completely cut off

the real MS kit requires cutting (some) of the bumper in order to be installed. u should search on the forum to see if u can find a copy of the installation for the rear bumper to see what you need to cut.

That sucks because i bought the kit for a really good price and the new front bumper i put on it looks pretty hot..... I just dont know if cutting the piece off is a smart idea..... It will probably depreciate the price of the car a lot. Do you think the modification would be expensive?

i used a very sharp exacto knife. im gonna be nice and post this http://www.hi-impact.org/ryang/modif...8_diffuser.pdf

and this
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/ms-black-rear-bumper-installed-pics-25062/

u only need to trim half of it off.

the rear skirt needs to rest on top of the bottom of the rear bumper piece (black part); if that makes any sense at all.
