Looks pretty solid, one owner car is a plus as well. Test drive it, make sure idle is steady and the car has no trouble starting. Also check for oil leaks and coolant leaks. Faulty seals and gaskets with the 1st gens are hit and miss. GL!

The model is a GSL-SE. You can tell by the listing having it as a 1.3L engine (13B) and the wheels. It had 130 hp as apposed to the other RX7 models with the 12A engine (100-105 hp). On the race track, I buried the 120 mph speedo in 4th gear (of the 5 speed trans). It was heaviest of the series by about 150 lbs. The hp was nice, but it didn't feel as nimble as the GS or GSL models. I had problems with the rear wheels locking under heavy braking on these first of the RX7's.
I'd hit it.
I'd hit it.

those're gsl-se wheels also, so i'd say it probably is the real deal. 1350 is a really good price for that kind of mileage, even if it weren't the 13b model. wow! i want that one

Looks nice from the outside, but you really need to see the interior. Is this a project car or something you want to drive as-is?
I used to have a 1980 series I 7, it was fun and it bit me with the rotary bug, but the reciprocating ball steering SUCKED. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that 7s got rack-and-pinion steering until '86. IMHO, the steering really let down the early 7s. They sure as hell don't feel like an 8.

2006 RX8 GT-Velocity Red
I just saw a similar rx7 at my dealership. I was getting my 8 serviced and met a guy in the shuttle on the way home. He told me about his Rx7 that he was prepping to sell to some guy in Philly. When I went back to pickup my car I saw his sitting in the parking lot. Everything on the vehicle was original with 38k miles and I couldn't believe how clean it was inside and out.

I haven't decided! haha, I just came across it and fell in love ever since, I haven't seen many sexy 1 generations, so that would be a fun build I think. So I think I'm heading toward a project car

better do it soon.
that car wont last. especially at that price .unless its absolute junk.
make sure you run it to the top of the first few gears to verify if it shifts smoothly at redline, ask before you do this, obviously. take it for a test drive, drive it around for a bit, until its warm and all that. ~10-15 minutes. turn it off. wait 30 minutes. then see if it turns on nicely and idles smoothly.
was the hesitation at 3000 rpm only for fds? if not, that might be something to look for. afair, it can be irreparable.
a thread on advice for purchasing rx7s was posted a while back, let me see if i can find it.
here, its about FDs unfortunately: http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/buyaused.htm

/\ Find it quick! I want to see one too, as I know nothing about rx-7's... other than the usual stuff about old cars. Oh and I know that FD's arent reliable until the 00' and up, versions.
