10.3 or 7.6 Cubic feet of cargo space?

10.3 or 7.6 Cubic feet of cargo space?

I calculate that from the press kit 290 liters equals about 10.3 cubic feet.

The press kit lists 7.6 cubic feet and that doesn't jibe with their 290 liter number.

For what its worth, I saw the trunk open at the Houston Auto show and 10.3 appears to be the closer figure.

10.3 is still smallish but 7.6 is very small

I though the trunk was fairly large, especially for a sports car and really inpressive considering it has 2 real backseats.

Actually both numbers are correct. The actual volume of the trunk will greater than both the VDA and the SAE volume. The SAE volume is determined by the volume of the suitcases that can be put in the trunk. See attached:

The initials VDA stand for Germany’s Verbund die Automobil Industrie. The trunk is filled with blocks each measuring 200mm x 100mm x 50mm which are not able to fit in oddly shaped areas.

The VDA volume is the volume of the blocks that can fit in the trunk.

You are totally right, but it's called Verband der Automobilindustrie.
