??

that site is old. and it looks like it relies on pre-production model specs.

and it does it say estimated in parenthesis.

that info is outdated.

regardless

It would be nice to see those numbers for the 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. but the weight is lighter than what has been most recently announced. the hp minimum is currently the proposed max for the 6 speed manual off the production lines.

too many differing specs from current listings to use those times in confidence. and again, the 0-60 is listed as an estimate.

I'd like to see those numbers. perhaps even better figures. but I doubt they're exact. hopefully very close though. it's all up in the air, for a little while longer.

u know the stats cant be right when for 0-60 they give u a range of 0.5second difference

5.9 and 6.4 is considerably different (EDIT: this was used as an example, not what they stated)

these mags are worthless. MotorTrends issue had the rx8 doing a 14.4 and a 6.4 ... umm. dont they ever average out the times? How can 1 test from 1 to another differ so much. Jeezz.. all mags are worthless, cept for the photos.

speaking of photos..(off the topic) anyone like the new bmw 5 series? i find them repulsive =X

the mags aren't worthless. they do test different version of the vehicle at different developmental stages. and those numbers reflect the results of that particular mag's tests. that doesn't mean those numbers are completely worthless.

Actually, I'm thinking maybe Motortrend got more of a production RX-8 to test given that the 0-60 is half a second slower (my experience is that MT is not overly aggresive with launching their test vehicles), but the 1/4 mile is .1 sec faster than the other mags.

That .5 sec difference in 0-60 could mean low 14s for production cars, but then again, this is both speculation and not really what the car was primarily designed for anyway.

sorry =( got my numbers mixed up... but still you all get my point =X the numbers fluctuate so much.

even if its in diff stage of production. its due out in few months.. u would figure the numbers would even out.. instead it gets further apart and never make sense.
