One of our dealerships close by is a Mazda Dealership and maybe I didnt read this thread enough but the 2007 Mazda RX-8 Speed will have a turbo charger on it. This comes from the regional rep for Mazda. Lets keep our fingers crossed and please correct me if Im wrong.
I thought you said 98 dealerships.

remember mazda rule #27 when they talk about a year they mean the year not model year. so if they say " Mazdaspeed RX-8 for 2007" they mean IN 2007 as a MY 2008 for the US*
*this is used as an example only. it is not meant to allude to an actual MS8 next year . its only an EXAMPLE. if there were an actual MS8 coming sometime next year we would hear about it slightly before the LA or Detroit Auto Shows.

For the autoshow junkies amoung us, the LA Autoshow is a whole month earlier this year, Media days are the weekend after Thanksgiving... 5 weeks before Detroit.

So when can people expect to actually see 2007 RX-8’s in the dealership, September? Also does anyone know how long it took Mazda to start giving dealers $4k on previous year models like the are now with the 05’s?

I hope Mazda treats the RX-8 in some forum of the RX-7..
As in, SA, FB, FC, FD..
Every model underwent serious changes over its life cycle, from better body looks, to more power...
Like, consider the 2004-2005 the "Series 1"..and 2006 marked the "Series 2"..? It keeps my hopes up :\

Kind of a relief to find there aren't that many real improvements in the 07 - you hate to feel that you bought a car too soon - before it was really perfected.
Changes in paint color will give extra value to current 8s when they have survived long enough to be counted as classics. Rare colors, unique interiors and leathers, unusual systems can create more value to collectors.
Have some questions on the aluminum engine - if some of the rotar's power comes from a fly-wheel effect, wouldn't a dense heavy fly-wheel be more effective than a lighter weight one and wouldn't the shaft need to be as massive as the wheel?

I was chatting with my dealer's service tech about maybe putting in a sequential turbo and he mentioned that mazda speed is suposed to be releasing a "Mazda Speed RX-8" in 2008 which is stated to have twin turbo and 400hp from the factory. Has any one heard of this and where can I get information on it?

MS8 has been rumored for quite some time and 2008 seems to be a popular choice with the Rumor mills...
We'll have to wait till SS9 and the subsequent LA Auto Show. Till then, nothing has been confirmed on the MS Version.

I really have to know when these are coming out. Dealers are pulling my leg and citing March because of last year, so they won't deal on 06s. If they're already building 07s it can't be more than a couple months. I hate dealers!
