Sorry but I disagree. it would be close and the 8 will win if launched correctly. The 8 is not slow against other cars in it's power to weight class. You are guessing by predjudice. You must own a type S and think you are fast or something. You are slow.

You disagree because you are deciding on the validity of the previous statements through emotion and not facts. I don't own a type s, nor have I ever, but I do own an RX-8 with the MM accessPORT, clutch/counter weight/light weight flywheel from BHR, AFE STS, Yukon Coils, etc. and I've taken driving classes on how to get the most out of my RX-8, so I know, very intimately, what the RX-8 is capable of.

I've also built a 98 trans am track car, so I know what fast is, and the 8 is no where near fast. If you still think that the loss of power going from engine to rear is insignificant and that power to weight ratio is all that matters, then you don't know enough for me to be wasting my time with you.

I've smoked Chrysler 300s at the drag strip. Heavy beast cars.

Look bud,

Your stated qualifications mean nothing to me. Why don't you try racing one with all your stated racing skills? You would have to miss a gear to loose to a rsx-s. Rx8 is 5.8, 14.49 rsx-s 6.1, 14.9. It would be almost even. You are so full of it. Or just plain stupid to your own car. Or, maybe you have an automatic rx8. Wise up.

Wise up? First of all, your grammar is pathetic and really makes you look quite unintelligent; but that is beside the point.

Now, where did you get those numbers from, because it would seem to me that you got them from a magazine such as Road and Track. So, what you seem to be doing is something many ricers like to do, and is called magazine racing. Now, if you had half a mind to search, you would see that most people with stock RX-8s get above a 6 second 0-60, and almost no one gets near a 14.5 (and before you say you can/have, prove it to save us all some time). In fact, if you go to the search function, you will see that the majority of 8 owners get high 14s to mid 15s in a manual.

I assume you meant to say "too stupid to own my car", which is funny, because you accuse me of having an automatic, even after I tell you I have put in a STS and swapped the clutch/flywheel/counter weight.

But if you still insist that you are correct, then go watch some videos; that way you will have proof and not just opinion.

Here we go with the **** spelling police. Keep reaching fella. 14.9 would make them very close although I doubt the average rsx-s will do it . You just confirmed everthing I said. so thankyou and give it up. The facts say I'm right, you are wrong.

I'm glad you can argue like a fifth grader, once again, proving your lack of intelligence. Oh, and I said grammar, which has nothing to do with spelling.

Where did I say specifically 14.9? How does 14.9 prove anything at all? If you had done your research, very few reach 14.9, although some have, but the majority tend to stray into the 15s. As I stated previously, go watch some videos so you can actually see proof of races and can argue factually, instead of as the uneducated, sophomoric poster which you have proven yourself to be.

You challenged me, Mr Grammer. So why don't you post the videos or proof to disprove me. I stand.

Well, if you insist on me getting proof, then watch these:

Both videos are races between stock stock cars, and in the first video, you can hear the commentary "He is beating him every time..."

http://homepage.mac.com/tsopranomb/....20vs%20RX8.mov

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFGKUeWddyY

If for some reason this doesn't prove it, then go out and race one; beyond that, I've given you all the facts and if for some reason you can't accept these facts, then that's your problem, but I have better things to do than waste my time here.

05rex, come on man. A simple one time fail would have gotten through to him, I think after making yourself look stupid with all that profanity, you fail.

A guy with that nice of a car should at least have some decency
