Yup, the response to "Thank you" is "Ne za chto", which is loosely equivalent to "Not at all." What are you trying to say w/ the first sentence? For me, it reads as "from not knowing, these others make small things." ?

Ah, haha, it's trying to translate "make jokes" literally, but in Russian, you always "joke" and never "make jokes", so that's why it looks funny. you could say, i suppose, "tell jokes". So the translator isn't very smart there.
