A party bus with bunch of girls after a bachelorette party lost control and hit my first RX8 that was parked in the street.

the mazda3 kinda was my fault but I did what i thought was right then. this guy was driving sooo slow in the fast lane in the highway so I started to tailgate him which was a bad idea because there was a sudden stop and ... yeah .... it kinda still hurts.

I got bored of my mazda3 really quick after i got it, i mean, everyone i know had them... and the rx8 is just so cute and sporty and you dont see many of them out there.

so i am not a bad driver, i just had bad luck..

Here's a different one...

a year and a half ago I wanted to change my car from a 3 Series BMW to an RX-8. My dad was telling me how he researched it and said that it gave crappy mpg and parts were expensive and how he didn't want me wasting my money like this. I told him that I had done all my homework on the car and I knew what to expect. He was still against it.

I organised a test drive a few days later. A sales guy from the garage brought the car to my house. He tested the BMW as it was a trade in while my dad and I tested the 8. I drove it first, on a mile of motorway. Then he drove it. He remained silent for the full test drive except when asking how to put it into reverse. When we got back to the house the sales guy was waiting there for us. We chatted to him for a while and kinda sorted a few things out.

When he left my dad says to me "get rid of that BMW and get into that RX-8 as soon as you can". I was like WTF!?

I got a few.

driving through csu sacramento I am at the stop two girls in the right lane next to me pull up.

They say, "nice car, what is it?"

I say "Oh its a Mazda Rx8""

They say "wow well its really nice."

.......suddenly on my left side a camaro pops up revving his engine, i dont even bother looking over. Then i notice the girls laughing and saying "oh my god, gay!"...something like that. Couldnt help put a smile on my face.

Driving down the freeway i can see a car start blasting down towards my direction going at least 80 just to catch up to me. Once it catches up its stays right next my back half of the car starting to weave. I was like WTF so i start to speed up and so do they. I was already having a bad day so i wasnt having it. I look over and settle down as i saw a girl with a notepad and pen in hand and says "nice ride, whats your number?" I was so baffled i nearly missed my exit. No numbers were exchanged, why risk it.

Driving in a busy intersection i come to a red light stop. A ghettofied chevy caprise blasting through crappy speakers pulls up and yells something. I roll down my window and look over. The passenger yells "Hey you wanna buy a plasma? Ill sell it for cheap.
I say, " No I have no money"
They say, "How much you got, well work a deal?"
I say, "A starbucks gift card!"
hey laugh, the driver tells the passenger something inaudible, the passenger promptly yells, "Damn does that thing right there got them suicide doors?"
I try to comprehend the sentence and say, "yes." then drive away.

My new neighbours saw my car for the first time 2 days ago and they really gived med compliments for my good looking Camaro.

I did laugh for myself and told them it was a Mazda, I saw on their face that they were thinking "poor guy he must be on crack if he thinks that is a Mazda"

They did check the car more carefully after that and was really supriced when they understand it really was a Mazda.

I am having the hardest time trying to explain that it's not a piston engine. neighbors ask if its a 6 or 8 cylinder engine and I say it's not. They don't seem to get what a rotary engine is or how it equates to a regular piston engine.

Though..... My state emissions says that the car is a 17 cylinder.

I was riding down the road headed towards barnes and noble earlier today with my windows down (litchfield rd for any that cares) and a cop pulls up next to me and states,"dont worry, you can put your windows up. I'm not going to pull you over for your tint. Its a nice looking car by the way; I wish I had 150 grand to blow on a car" Then I say thanks and we part ways.
