I would go for an exhaust and springs for a drop, those two mods will really clean up a stock car.

Good call!
I'm not so sure about anything that dangles near one's line of sight though.

$1k to spend? The Voice of Fiscal Responsibility Speaks.

Odd concept, at least for me. First of all, I would never think of "an extra" thousand. Perhaps you've already considered all the options, and having maxed out your savings for 2008 (fully matched any retirement program at work, contributed your $5k allowable for a 2008 Roth IRA, fully funded education accounts for any children), would like to treat yourself to a $1k fun money purchase. I say good for you! Lots of capital ideas above. (Although personally, I would stash that $1k away in the highest bearing interest account available and begin saving for the next car, which would not be purchased until the account covered the entire purchase price. Of course, that's just me.)

That is the angel on your left shoulder . . .. do not listen to him

The devil on your right shoulder should get the attention for this question

You have some valid points. But we are not here to talk about retirements or savings. THis is a forum dedicated to the Mazda RX-8

At the very least get the RB A/C and Oil Cooler Screen. I wish I did after I had to pay $750.00 to get the A/C Condenser replaced, and the A/C refilled and all.

Would have save $650.oo

Other that that, my next mod would be clear corners, springs, Intake, then Flywheel. IN THAT ORDER.
