Whoa, Brad. Sorry to hear that. I guess you'll just have to look at the bright side, 'cause it could have been worse. At least it wasn't an engine problem.

Glad I got to meet you BTW, sorry I missed you for our "early bird" coffee session on Sunday - I was up but puttering around with the lights off to keep from disturbing the rest of the crew (Derek decided it was better to sleep on the couch than with his Dad).

Dave - I smelled what I thought was burning oil during my last gas stop on the way home. Popped the hood and saw all kinds of smoke coming from the engine bay. Oil level was fine so I was thinking oil cooler leak or something. Never dawned on me that it could be tranny fluid. Oh well, my car is going to be fixed tomorrow. Too bad I didn't buy that exhuast system you had, tomorrow would have been a perfect time to swap.

Btw - I came by the cabin just a tad before 0500 Sun morn for a hot cup. I saw the deck light on but nothing else. I even peeked through the window for a minute or two but left after I thought that maybe your neighbors just might get the wrong impression of me.

Next year I'll just come in and make a fresh pot!

Well I finally got all my pictures resized and posted. I will be working on the MazdaNow.com site to put everyone's pictures there like last year. So if you have a link to all your pictures or if you want to zip them up and send them to me I will be glad to post them there.

I will also be putting together a DVD with all of the footage from the Dragon Runs as well as all the pictures, this will be available in a week or so.

Here are links to my pictures:

Ah, that is what we were smelling , glad to hear that the dealer is taking care of it, did they state any reasons as to why it happened besides the fact that you drove it like a bat out of hell on the dragon

Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that I had some extra shirts available. They cost us $7 each + $3 for shipping if anyone wants one. I have large and Mediums left.

Well Epi and Ryan did look much better groomed than last year ... wonder what was different ... perhapse their guests???

Seriously, checked back in to see how it went. Looks like everyone had a great time. Anyone care to guess how many years straight well see this gathering? It's become more than "Just the Dragon".

I can see it going on for many more years. Hopefully in a few years we will have so many people that we will have to rename fontana vilage to 8 village for a week. :D

Yes, epi and Ryan were somewhat tethered...but there were flashbacks :D

You should have brought the Phaeton down, Bill...would have been a blast

And, you're right, it is much more than the Dragon now. Almost like an annual family reunion, plus a lot of super new folks. Just an all around great time.

I know if I have anything to do with it, this will be going on for many years to come!! And I can guarentee that with each passing year it will get better and better. Even this year alone we were recognized by sponsors of all sizes, with enough support to give half the people in attendance more than one prize!!!

Last year got a "little" crazy hahahahaha, this year had more of a vacation feel with a mix of some great parties and drinking. The overall agreement seemed to be that everyone GREATLY enjoyed this year.

Just a little hint for next year, I have some guarenteed support from some large names already lined up for next year.......new goal in the next few years......OUT NUMBER THE MINI COOPERS!!!!!!
