I joined this forum since i took on the adventure to build an seven with a 13B renesis engine in it.

I bought an UK car as Donor and have mounted the engine in the seven.

For the last hurdle to victory i will try to open a new thread about it.

Ow sorry, i ment lotus super seven.

I simply call them seven's not realising that over here there are even more seven's .

My current symptom is that the Rx8 doesn't pull beyond 5500 rpm in third, and hesitates in lower gears to climb beyond.

- new D585 coils, wires, plugs;
- rebuild engine;
- UK 2004 231bhp, 6 port;
- OMP verified working (with forscan, you can see the actual position and the switch toggling on start-up;
- I only had room to place an K&N cone onto the MAF tube;

Suspecting:

- I reused an old fuel pump; perhaps to small, but the rev limit looks like a very nice limit...

- I coudn't use the DSC/ABS unit. So i need to make the messages myself.
Perhaps someone can give me the "valid" "known good" canbus messages for:

- Clutch switch, it isn't connected yet, but i didn't get the error yet

- Speed limit in the MCU?!?

- Is it possible that traction control is activated?and limiting power?? would be nice to get valid canbus messages for:

Id:
- 4C0
- 212 (dash status??
- 204

All above ID's are from DSC/ABS unit.

No DTC's present.

What kind? I hope it's an HJS cat. Most cheap stuff won't last.

 

Mhh at the moment no priority. Emissions are fine.
And its deff not clogged.

 

Did you use the legit D585s? Or the Chinabay D585?

To check if its ignition. Either buy a HEI coil ignition tester to verify proper spark, or at very least, put a timing gun lead on both of your leading spark plug wires and make sure you are getting a nice steady flash.

 

Bought them on ebay, but they are from a brand i think they are aftermarket ones, but no china i hope.
They where send from the USA if that helps.
