Thought you might be interested in the latest dyno run --
11 pounds of boost, conservative (meaning safe) map.

Is that an engine dyno or a chassis dyno?

once tuned more and setup properly (as in to optimize performance and take advantage of the engines potential), this thing will be a monster...

Is this an extra oil feed on the front cover?

Is it going to be a dry sump setup? That's all I can figure.

Doubtful, I saw an oil pan in the other pic.

It might be for an oil cooler line ?... I dunno.

the blue AN fitting on the front cover is for the turbo oil drain.

I have the same exact thing done inside my 13B-REW the jackets around and near the spark plugs are finned to create more surface area and create a tumble as the coolant crosses through.

There is this really neat Appalachian Hillbilly that lives in Port St. Lucie Florida, his shop is called JR Fabrications (formally Just Racing Fabrications) and he did some amazing work on my engine.

I also never saw apex seals installed while the rotor is in the housing. I have seen neat plastic holding devices that let you slide the rotor down. Or, the low tech rubber band method.

On my REW I found big torque gains when we opened up the throttle body and intake runners, as well as an aggressive street port. The intake runners and TB were opened an easy 20%. The low end grunt is seat of the pants noticeable.

Are those MSP rotors or did they use lower compression out of a diff year? Just curious because i know they Apex seals on the rene are different than standard 13b Apex seals. I have the irons and really contemplating doing a similar build.

Renny rotors can be machined to take different seals

Brettus had his rotors machined to take taller 3mm apex seals for example

right, but the compression of the MSP is higher. not ideal for boost application. i suppose i should look up clearances and compare my question was more of if another rotor was used would there be tolerance issues with the ports and dropping a seal.

High compression is not an issue in boosted applications if you know how to tune. Less margin for mistakes, that's pretty much it.

yeah but playing pop goes the weasel with a freshly built motor isn't exactly fun, atleast not on my dollar.
