Interested, but curious about a couple of things.

In a previous post, you say a new version is coming out. Is the only change solely to compensate for altitude?

I was also wondering about something else you said regarding software updates. Is it not possible to update the unit remotely? It absolutely must be shipped in?

You have started a new thread without any info what exactly you are referring to. Too vague for any real answers here.

The info was from the last two posts in this forum. It's fine, never mind.

I was a bit cranky this morning. So I apologize. I'm on my phone so I'm not going to provide direct quotes but here's what I was wondering.

you had previously told a member they could ship you their unit and you would update the software for $20. What I was wondering is for someone technically inclined enough, could they do this process themselves? Without ahipping the unit in.

In another post from January you mentioned that a new version was coming out that will compensate automatically for altitude. Is this the only change in the newer hardware revision? Or would it make sense to just buy the current version if being used near sea level?

Reoze, do you understand that no one on this new thread will know who is the "You" you are talking to. If you don't continue the discussion you are having with this "you", and do it on the original thread, there is no connect.

This is posted in RotaryCompressionTester.com forum, a vendor here.

OP, it's better to send a private message to the vendor to get your answer.

Alright, I fucked up. I don't know how or why but I thought gwilliams *was* the vendor. Hence the "you". I'll just send a PM, sorry. AND I'll stop making posts at 4:30 AM and replying in the middle of meetings.

A new version of the rotary engine is coming out. Wow. I'm excited. Give me some details like: is it going to be called the RX-9, will it still be a 4 seater, will it look like this:

Yep, new rotary, no more temp or reliability issues, powered solely off of salty tears.

Software updates are for the original unit, I upgrade plugs at the same time and no it can't be done remotely.
The new 5.2 is completely new hardware with internal barometric pressure sensor and new software as well.
Elevation correction software will not work on the old Pcboards.

Hope this helps if you have any other ?'s feel free
