Most salesman know absolutely nothing about the RX-8. Since its a whole different animal than any other car you can buy because of its unique engine, they will start making s*&^ up. It bugs that absolute hell out of me watching another salesman trip and stumble his way around the car. If your salesman cannot answer any questions on the maintenance, performance, and driving characteristics of the RX-8, ask for another one.

Any salesman that tells you a 40th Anniversary Edition is anything other than the Metro Gray and Cosmo Red combination, ask him to point the others out in the brochure. He won't be able to.

Also, just ask him the difference in horsepower between an automatic and manual, and he doesn't know, then he doesn't care enough about the car, its just something with wheels on it that he wants to sell.

Oh yea, and ask him what the balance is front to back, you'll drive him to actually go grab a salesman that knows something and you get a good laugh.
