Worrying about not receiving the letter?

I purchased my 8 on Aug 2nd but I have not received "the letter" in the mail yet. I live in Arlington, TX. Shouldn't all the letters be out by now? Anyone else in the same boat?

i put a $1000 deposit and signed a car order form(not a sales contract) on 8-6-03. the dealer didnt send in my order to Mazda until 8-25-03 because i hadn't signed the order form. I have a VIN. I don't expect the letter this soon but i'm wondering if i'm even eligible for the letter. it's impossible to get through to Mazda on the 800 number and my dealer tells me to call Mazda. Does anybody know the official qualifications to receive the letter?

Just call the 800# and have them fax the forms to you.

As I recall, you won't get a letter if you didn't take delivery of your car by 8/26(?).

I called the 800 number and talked with a representative. He said that as long as you've ordered before the cut-off date you are eligable. You don't have to have taken delivery.

Got mine and sent it back to Mazda. Cool. Free gas and maintenance.

Also got a Customer Service Survey about my dealer. I will be giving them pretty good marks and quite a bit of text in the "comments" section about delays, lack of information, stuff like that.

So far, though, the car has been like a dream.

i called mazda today and the woman said the same thing. but then my dealer called tonight and said he talked to mazda and they said if i haven't taken delivery by august 26th then all i get is the $500 and free maintenance option not the buy back option. i could still take the car but i wanted the insurance of having the buy back option. i dont know if the dealer is lying or not. i told him id be in tomorrow to get my deposit back. this sucks!

My dealer put me down as the owner of the car I ordered on August 25th. My car didn't come in until September 2nd. I didn't have to sign anything when I took delivery.

When I got home from the dealer, the Mazda letter was in my mailbox.

I guess I have a one month test drive :-). So far I love the car. Unless it starts having mechanical problems in the next couple weeks, I will definately be keeping it.

Exclamation Just Remember!

Your letters all must be back to Mazda by 10/01/2003 or you will loose everything......
