Will I be approved?

Hey guys.

In 04 I bought a Mazda 3 from a dealer near me. (Morande Mazada in Manchester Connecticut).

I traded in my old MX6 to get the 3. So I hope I'm slowly establishing a brand loyalty, and I hope they see that.

I want to trade in my 3 and get an RX8.

My 3 was 18,400.

I still owe around 11g on it.

So yesterday I went to Morande again, to check their lot for RX8's. I found a 04 Shinka for 21g. Assuming theres nothing wrong with it. How does trading in my 3 for this actually work?

Can someone go over what I'll get for my car, and how that goes towards the new 8?

Its an 04 Mazda 3, 2.3, 37k miles, and in ridiculously prestine condition.

Hows the whole trade up thing work though?!!?

THANKS!! Soon to be Rx8 owner.

if you trade it you will probably get raped.. it's all but a certainty. it never hurts to ask, I know no matter what if you want in the rx8 the dealer can put you there, but the rate and terms can vary wildly.

Also for a used 04 21K is high since new 04 and 05's sold near that price. ( i only paid 21900 for mine ). the value of the 3 is probably near what you owe so hopefully you can break even and get a much better deal on the rx8.

I'd suggest selling your car yourself if you can. Otherwise go work the deal on the rx8, don't mention your trade or let them pull your credit or anything until you have a solid price you are comfortable with. don't talk payments or anything you want a final price. then bring up the trade and go from there. if you can get preapproved from your local bank or online lender all the better to use. it will give the dealer something to beat.

There putting me into a 04 RX8 Manual, for 20,555.

If I get approved. Waiting for the phone call.

Welp.

Got a ton of approvals from various banks. So I obviously went with the lowest rate.

Picking her up tomorrow at 6:00pm sharp!

SO PROUD!! :D
