Nope...my credit is great. I just wanted to get the best deal I could possibly get, and at the time didn't want another monthly expense to worry about. Looking back...I could have just earned interest on that money instead of just dumping it all down at once.

Then again, I'm sure the interest rate they'd give me for the payments would offset the equity anyway.

Besides, this is a car I want to keep for a while.

I hear you. I was just poking fun at you. :D

If I had it all, I would have put it down. In Canada, Mazda has $2000 built into each RX-8 so Scoyai Bank can offer 3.9% financing. Pay cash, regular bank rates, or supply your own financing and you get $2000 back from Mazda.

Annual insurance - $114.00/month, 10 months - that's for 300/100, 100 uninsured with 2 drivers and a 2nd car.

$415/month for 48 @ 3.79%
Insurance is $1800 yearly, so $150 a month (not bad at all, considering the car and my (<25) age).

Hey, I had forgotten that I had started this thread. Glad to see its still in use,
anyway News update, aparently we won't be mooving soon so I no longer have to get rid of my baby. I feel better now knowing that when you add up what other people are payin for car + insh it isn't that much less than me.

PS. 2 years and change since I got it and I still smile every time :-) hehe.

$268 per month but I pay $317 and insurance is $1049 every 6 months due to my high coverage. Got sued when I was 16 by some scammers and lost so I am covering my *** this time. No accidents/no tickets.

Good Mary of God, Allah, Jesus, Buddha, Christ!!! $409/mo for just insurance!! That was more than my last car payment!

$510/mo 48 month lease. Bad negative equity from last car. Insurance is $133/mo (10 payments per year). Plan on getting rid of this in 2-3 years for a Porsche Cayman
