What would you say is a fair price for this car
Hi All,
(somewhat) long time RX-7 owner, I've been on these forums for around 8 years now, had three RX-7's, but no RX-8's. I love these forums and love the "good" people on here which thankfully seems to be the larger percentage of folks...
Anyway, here's my question - what would you pay for a 2004 RX-8, fully loaded (leather, nav, HID's, 6 disc changer, moon roof, etc.) with 32,000 miles, clean carfax, original engine, manual tranny?
I've checked KBB and NADA so I have a good ballpark but I was just curious what you folks would pay.
Thanks!
Also, I know that there are a few great sticky's / FAQ's for things to look out for but I'm all ears if there are any other issues specific to '04 that I should check that may not be so common or noted in the sticky's.
I'm looking forward to getting rotor powered again, it's been too long...

if it comes with service history or a extended warrenty with dealer would be awesome, but i would guess is around ~13 as long as its good condition all around.
you should also be able to see on the car fax if it has been in for recalls like reflashes, starter, cat replacement, things of that nature. If not you can call mazda with the vin.
The only thing i can suggest is a tune up at the least if you know it has not been done. Or upgraded ignition by bhr.

Thanks bumblebee - the carfax does indicate that it has been properly maintained and that recall items have been taken care of.
anybody else have any estimates on what they would value the car at?

If it's pretty clean, I'd say 10k to 13k since it's low mileage. Get a compression test before purchase. It will be worth the ~$100 to know where you stand with the engine, even if you don't buy it. Bumblebee pretty much covered it.
