I've got an 04 leased RX-8 that i am selling. Would the remaining warranty from Mazda be transferable to the new buyer? If so, are there any fees associated with this?

yes, the warranty follows the car, not the owner. As long as the car is under 60K miles the new owner will have the factory warranty (unless you voided somehow, like installing a turbo or somewhat along those lines)

 

When I bought my used 04 rx8, I had to call mazda NA and give them my name and VIN of my rx8 so they could transfer the warranty into my name. They also asked my address so they could send me info about recalls and such. no fee.

 

^^ really? Hmmmm, i bought mine used from a mazda dealer so i guess they did all that for me.

 

yeah, bought mine at carmax. All they did was print out the Mazda NA phone number for me. Call only took a few minutes.
