used 06 Rx-8 17k miles- 15000 initial offer (thoughts?)
Hello all,
I have a dealer near where I live that initially offered me, over email, a used 06 rx-8 (what I believe is a t or gt trim) for approx 14,500 ish before ttl. Two questions: How much more do you guys think I can get this car if I went into the dealership to haggle. Secondly, it is Mazda certified used car, but can you guys think of anything that could possibly still be wrong with this car? Thanks again everyone.

also if i mention that the remodeled 09s are coming out plus this car has been on the lot for over half a year= serve as reasons for lowering the price even more right?

$15k for an '06 GT? That seems superb. Remember the GT has all the extra goodies such as heated leather seating, moonroof etc. That package adds about $6k over the base price, ie msrp around $32k new.
For comparison, I'm currently looking hard at an '05 GT with spoiler and apperance package and 18k miles that a "no haggle" dealer wants $19k for it. I'd probably jump at it for 17k - can still smell that new car smell in it.
cheers

Don't buy it! it's a scam! let me drive to wherever you are and buy it that way you don't have to worry.
Seriously though, that's one hell of a deal, I wouldn't pass it up if i were you. If you do, let me know.

If it's really a GT I'd go for it. I got mine a month ago as an 06 GT with appearance package, spoiler and a few other options for 20k with only 5200 miles on it. However, for that price I'd wager it wasn't a GT.
