Time to buy, time to negotiate

I just watched the MotorWeek video, I can't wait any longer, I have to buy this week. Dealers I've spoken to in Toronto aren't prepared to negotiate (supply/demand). Best seems to be to toss me a bone with an accessory or two. Any suggestions on how to negotiate my best deal?

Yes... I have done this for myself and my friends recently... Go into the dealership (your closest one) and tell them the farther dealership (give them an actual name) had given you this price, and tell them you want this dealership to beat it.... Make sure the price you give them is about 3-4 hundred over invoice including destination and everything... they will probably give you the car for 1 or 2 hundred over invoice

The price of the car was $32,600. I got them down to $29,500 because the salesman didn't know a damn thing and i walked out, on my way to the other Mazda dealer (People's) and the sales manager stopped me and was like "what do i gotta do to keep you here?" Well.........:D

If you know anyone that works at Ford, you can get SPLAN, this will drop the price to within a few $100 of invoice. It dropped about 10% off the price of my car.

Here in RI, there's a dealer near where I work that has about 10 of them sitting on the lot... and have been there for a couple months.

my dealer told me they couldnt negotiate price because there isnt much mark up in the 8...BULLSHIT. there is about 2,000 mark up. anyway they didnt have the color i wanted (red) so i acted as if i REEEEEEEEAALLY wanted the red and i would walk if i didnt get a kick *** deal on a color i didnt really want(blue was actually my second choice). i ended up getting it for 27K and invoice was 26,300. with spoiler and tire kit for free. pretty good i think
