Swapping out cars due to Port Options fiasco

Hey folks,
Well, my car (3657, built 6/11) has been sitting in Midlothian, TX for somewhere around 6 weeks waiting for one or more of the port options I ordered (spare tire, mounting kit, cassette deck, rotary accents). I got a call from my dealer today saying that the car is still in Midlothian due to the port options being backordered. However, he has a car just like I ordered (touring, yellow) without the options that he just got in. So, it looks like I'm going to buy that car on Friday (can't pick it up tomorrow, I'm going to go nuts!) and the options will get installed by the dealer at a later date. So it looks like I'm finally going to get my car. Those of you waiting for the same reason might want to see if you can pull the same deal with your dealer. Props to Beasley North (Austin, TX) for taking care of me like this. I didn't even have to ask.

I am sure a sale today is better than a maybe sell later.

Sympathy to the pre-order group who have been waiting weeks on end while their cars sit at various Ports. I was a pre-order who luckily got mine about 2 weeks ago, if it's any concilation, it's worth the wait. Pity about the options, I have noticed that Trussville has also run out of stock on the aero flares and such. At least you will get a car soon, in time you can get the options you want.
