Some questions about the 2009 RX8

Hey everyone, I have been debating which car to purchase as a daily driver. I'm currently 16 and I have just about some money saved up. So i was considering both the RX-8 and the Honda Accord Coupe V-6.

1)Both will be manual, which would provide a better base car for modifying?

2)How big of a disadvantage would a front wheel car be as opposed to a rear wheel drive car?

3)Which one would cost more to insure?

4)Lastly, which of the two would be feasible for me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

1) the accord will be faster in a straight, 8s don't take mods well short of FI. dont know about the accord
2) test drive both and find out. FWD vs RWD.. google it. there's plenty of points about the advantages of RWD vs FWD
3) depends on the insurance company. I think some companies rate the 8 as a 4 door, so the accord may cost more. call and find out, relatively easy
4) if you're asking, probably the accord

1, Honda

2, On the street little, on a road course the RX-8 will handle much better.

3, Should be about the same

4, A 2006 Accord would be more feasible. I am not a fan of sports cars as your 1st car.

My first car at 16 was an Honda Accord... Great for driving experience...
At 18.. 93 Toyota supra
At 20 ... 93 rx7...
At 22... 04 rx8
at 28.. 09 rx8 r3

So speaking form my experience get something low key at first get some experience behind the wheel... And then move on to something faster nicer...

Good luck

Get the Honda.

and dont buy it new.

buy a used one.

Since you're 16 there is a very high chance that you "might" mess up. if you know what I mean ...

Your insurance over the next 5 years will probably cost as much as the car.

The V6 Accord Coupe is pretty nice looking. Sweet engine too, and the 6-speed option is a plus. Honda packs too much technology in their cars though. One thing I will give to Mazda is that the center dash is pretty straightforward and user friendly.

The final decision for you will be to test drive both. Look at every feature you can, no matter how minute, and make sure it is a car you can live with for the next several years.
