should i settle for invoice price or should i push for lower?
hi. i'm fairly new here but have been planning to purchase an rx-8 (not lease) for at least a month now. after doing lots of roaming around the best price that was offered to me is $25,329 in which the dealer said was invoice. all i'm looking for is a manual base model gray rx8 with no options. i live near the san francisco bay area and was wondering if this is ok or is it possible to try and haggle down to somewhere around $23-24,000 since the 2005's are comming out soon? thanks in advance for any help.

Just the fact that it's close to the new year models arriving, the 04's will be inheritly (sp?) cheaper. When I bought mine I shot for 500 within invoice either way and thought that was a good deal. Maybe I'm wrong, but invoice sounds like a good buy to me. Just my $0.02

I am more focused towards leasing the 8 versus owning but I am seeing ads down here in the LA/SD area for as much as $5000 off MSRP. Irvine Mazda's ad this weekend was $5000 off all RX-8's in stock, for base model that puts you well under invoice. I would give them a call, might be worth the drive or at the least a good bargaining tool up there.
