I agree with everyone else.. get the sport option.. DSC alone is worth it.

(Little story, one of my friends got a new 3rd Gen RX-7.. he was driving in the drizzle.. punched the gas pedal and wrapped the car around a median.. car was two weeks old and had 150 miles on it! His comment when I bought the RX-8 is "You got the DSC right, you need it!" I have yet to wrap my car around a median.. )

Just joining the chorus: in this car you want the DSC.

It's not exactly $1,300 down the drain, anyway, as you'll get a good chunk of that back when you sell the car.
