rx8 advice

Hey all, ive been lurking for a good time now and i think i found one. Its a VR 04 GT with 67k miles. It has some exterior blemishes but the biggest eyesore is the fender tht was hit and now is bondo filled.
Another thing is the owner claimed that the clutch was recently replaced but when shifting gears the car makes an awkward noise. It might be the clutch fork or TOB? She is asking a reasonable price and i wanted to know how to get these things checked if I should have her take it to mazda to get a PPI or something? Thanks all

If you're serious about wanting to make the purchase, I'd spend the money to have a mechanic give it a once over. That should be able to uncover any issues.
