for the miles and the year it seems to be good price, as far as accident, if it does not look like they did half-*** job on it then i would not worry to much about it

The price is 'fair'. Fair only because of the Chrome rims, chrome rims go for over 1G. But this is a buyers market for cars, especially the RX-8. Try offering $18,500 and if they say no walk right out.

also another question, i hear a lot on these forums about learning manual transmission and that it is somewhat easier than other cars that are MT, is that true?
i learned stick a while back on a 2007 honda SI, but right now im a bit shaky on it.

yeah this was my first MT and it was really easy to learn and if u have had past experiences its just a matter of remembering . its a fair price u should ask 17,500 and see how it goes and ur excuse can be that it has already been in an accident

it's not a bad price, but not a steal either. get it at this price only if you REALLY want it and assured that you won't regret not paying less. you'll love the car, i'm sure, it's an easy car to love, especially for car people. but prices in general now are falling, just fyi, and i've seen new and slightly used '08s for the same or slightly higher price than that since fall

one thing i'd scrutinize is the paint where the accident occurred. i assume it's a fender bender, but any car w/ accident record i'd either really scrutinize or walk away, but i'm pretty obsessive. you obviously see how well the motor idles and runs, if the car pulls, any funny noises/smells, etc., all the standard stuff. if all the flashes and tsb's have been done, there should be appropriate stickers indicating so, but this is an '07 so there might not have been too many of those. use your own judgement. i would, however, say that you can talk down the price or get a better deal elsewhere
