Purchasing my 8 on Friday, good deal?

I'll be picking up my 04 Rx8 and returing to the rotary family after being away for 8 years (I used to own a 1979 Rx7). I'm buying a Silver 04 with the Grand Touring Package, 6cd, the apperance package and the Navigation system (didn't really want, it seems like most of the 04s left are fully loaded in my area). MSRP is $34,670 and I'm paying $27,154. I've signed up for the Gerber discount last week but haven't got it in the mail.

How many miles did it have on it? I got the same thing for 25,500 in black with 27 miles

Sounds like you got a great deal. The car has 279miles, which bothers me, but all of the 04 Rx8s in my area seem to have a lot of miles. This was the best deal I could get searching in a 200 mile radius.

One dealer had a car for $25,500 but it had the grand touring plus the 6cd changer only, did not have the apperance package and the navigation.

Congratulations. Welcome back to the rotary family. Sounds like it is almost like mine, I didn't want the Nav either but it has come in handy a couple of times.

What's your area. I'm looking for a black non-sunroof 6MT 2004.

Good deal, does anyone have a picture of an rx-8 with and without the appearance package? I've heard what the differences are but haven't seen yet.

I'm located in Jefferson City Missouri, which is in the middle of the state. The local dealer has 3 2004 Rx8s left, all of them black.

One has the grand touring package + 6cd
One has the grand touring package plus the nav and the apperance
The other has the touring package, but then they've added a bunch of stuff, sunroof, etc so it's expensive but does not have leather

That would work pretty well for me if only they had not ordered all the extra crap. I guess all of the base models got sold pretty quickly.

I've already agreed to the deal, so I'm not going to try and change things on them now, I'd be pissed if they tried to change the deal on me.

While it's not the best deal out there, $27,100 for a $34.6k car still isn't to bad...

Yeah.. you can do whatever you damn well please. Nothing is set in stone until you sign and drive it off the lot. People find better deals all the time.

If I found a better deal at a different dealership then I'd either buy that car or give this dealer the opprtunity to match/beat their price.

While I hadn't signed a buyers agreement I did agree to the price and they've held the car based upon that so it comes down to morals and keeping my word to them.

Wow, you're a better person then me. While I do have morals... I'm never one to give a dealer my hard earned money for no reason. If there are better deals to be had, I want it. I'd never over pay for something b/c I said I'd buy it. If they can't give me a good price, I'll go somewhere else or wait. All you have to do is tell them you found better deals online, and have them come down some more.

I went to 3 dealerships before getting my car at the 4th. I told all of them I'd buy from them if they gave me what I was looking for... none of them did, so I walked. I actually gave up until I stumbled on the deal I got... so I bought from them.
