If I purchases a brand new 2006 model from the dealer today, would I still get the 5 year/60k mile extended powertrain warranty or does that only apply to existing owners?

And all of the rebate incentives that Mazda has for the RX-8.. Does they apply for cash deals too, or only if I finance with Mazda?

 

depending if you are in Canada or US. I can only speak for North of the Border that we get better discounts if its cash purchase. Finance not so much. Then again, APR here is as low as 0% for 24mth - 2.9%@60mth!

 

In the US, the warranty goes with the car, not the owner. The notice of the extended warranty is posted in a thread on this site. It specifies the serial number range of cars that get it.

Some rebates are for any kind of deal, some are for financing. The current incentives are described on Mazda's web site. If it's not tied to Mazda financing, it applies to all deals.

When I bought my 8, there was a $1500 dealer cash incentive. I got that even though I was buying on S-plan, which is essentially invoice price for Ford employees and close family members. There was also another $500 available if I financed, but I was paying cash and did not think quickly enough to finance for a month.

last i checked, i think consumer reports says there is a 2000 dollar rebate on 06' 8s, and that they come with a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper including powertrain.
