Which one??? 04 GT vs 05 Sport

Guys, I am trying to choose between a red 05 w/sport package and 775 miles for $22K and a red 04 w/GT and 6000 miles for $23K. The 05 has everything I want except leather. The dealer tells me that aftermaket installation of leather will void the side airbag warranty. Not too sure if I want to mess with that because it is a safety device.

Would appreciate any inputs as to which one would be a wiser choice in terms of resale value.

I am leaning towards the 05 at this time. What would you guys do???

Thanks in advance!!!

Get the dealer to install aftermarket leather themselves. There is local Mazda dealer here that offers this option so there is no reason they can't do it where you are. If they do not want to do it then check another dealer that can perform this for you. I would definitely go 05 and spend the $1000 difference on the leather. Remember, in a few months the 04 will be considered a 2 yr old model.

And now that you know you have options get the sport, drive around on the cloth awhile and then decide how important the leather is. The cloth seats in the 8 are great imo.
