Just bought my 2004 Black RX-8 GT

Now comes the tricky part, learning to drive a stick for the first time.
I know to keep it under 4000 rpms for the first 1000 miles, and to check the oil regularly. Anything else I should know about this beautiful new car?

 

Congratulations. Almost got black myself, but had black cars for the last 15 and it was time for a change--got silver.

As far as what you need to know, just start going through all the threads here. All kinds of info on driving a stick, driving the 8, its good points and idiosyncrasies, and opinions on the break-in procedure.

 

Follow the break-in, and DON'T shut off the engine while it's cold.

when i hit 95 mph when i thought i was doing 60.... black is fast enough
