Sirius Sattelite Radio Cost
Anyone get the Sirius radio option installed (by dealer) in a '05 yet? If so, what was the cost?
I had thought that it was Sirius ready, and all you would have to do is activate it, but it appears that additional equipment must be installed. At least that is what the dealer has told me.

The dealer charged me $500. The unit is available for a little over $300 from several sources if you want to install it yourself. I decided to let the dealer do it since it would then be included in the factory warranty for 50000 miles.

I got a base 6 speed with sport package. The only option was the $500 dealer installed Sirius radio.
There were actually two parts that had to be installed-the part numbers are:
0000-81-G01A - Sirius Unit
0000-81-K01A - Kit

Sounds a little high but just make sure that it is covered by the factory warranty. When they installed mine they managed to break the dash light dimmer control. I had to take it back and they admitted that they somehow pinched a connector when the sirius was installed.
