Thumbs up New 2005 RX-8

Hi. I'm new to the scene here. Great forum. I took delivery on a 2005 RX-8 today (automatic, GT,night lights). Dealer was suppose to install spare tire but forgot. With roadside assistance etc., I'm rethinking this add on. Looks like it will take up space in trunk and add weight. Any thoughts? Dealer was offering tire and wheel insurance for $300. I'm thinking that over as well.

Are there any dealers offering good prices on the extended warranty? I typically don't go for them but would if the price was low. Thanks.

2005 (midlife crisis) Velocity Red...what an awesome color and car!!!

40club--You'll need some backup, just in case the tire is not able to be fixed with the can of GOO and you don't want to wait hours for roadside asssistance. I got Mazda TOTAL CARE bumper-bumper plus tire wheel protection for about $1000 off list $1149 for 7yr/60k. I don't put much mileage on the car. You think you've got a midlife crisis, i just turned 51.

Grapes - Happy birthday. Thanks for the feedback on the tire and warranty. Sounds like it might be cheap insurance in the long run for the tire.
