Need help on decision
OK, I am slowly getting more and more anxious to own an RX-8. I have driven the same V red one at my dealer 3 times, and unfortunately it is probably the car of choice for test drives. (sorry, unsure of the mileage) Anyway, my dilema is I am up here in the frozen tundra of the US, and there is either the dealer here, or flying home and driving up/shipping up. hence my dilema.
I emailed for an internet qoute the dealer here in town, and they shot back a V red GT 6spd with some options that lists for 33710 with a sale price of 29670. They added the rebate into the qoute and came with 28620. (I'd do the 3.9 financing though) Is that a decent deal?
Another option is there is a silver Touring 6spd near my home town that lists for 29900 advertised special is 25850.
Soooo, do either of those sound like good deals, or should I keep looking around? Any hints on which dealers have good discounts?
TIA

Without knowing the options on each car, really can't say, but it "looks" as if they are selling the car to you at or maybe even slightly below invoice and giving you the $1500.
If that's the case then all-in-all not bad, but I'd bet you could negotiate down below invoice + the $1500 based on what others have stated here on the forum.
Also it may be a good idea to take the $1500 vs. the 3.9% if you can get a good interest rate elsewhere. Capitol One is 4.5%, and others have received better rates from Lending Tree. You'd have to figure the math.
Good Luck!
